Simple but complex AI technologies in our devices. Artificial Intelligence. What does it mean? The majority of people, hearing this expression, imagine are robots. Artificial Intelligence(AI) is based on the principle that human intelligence can be defined in a way that a machine can easily mimic it and execute tasks, from the most simple to those that are even more complex. This technology is very flexible and can be added on different sectors as people do nowadays. For example, in finance, where AI helps to solve some financial issues. As we face a huge number of cars with AI, this is the best example of spreading in the auto building sphere. In medicine, AI helps doctors do super difficult operations, research and so on. We have contact with AI every day. Our simple but universal smartphones have that opportunity via the Internet. Here we have Siri from Apple, Alexa from Amazon and Google assistant from Microsoft. These AI three search engines are being used all over the world and are gaining popularity with their functions. People have three of them with their little smartphones. However, they are doing the same function, but some features differentiate them making people understand which one is preferable. There is much research to understand which works precisely and accurately. Analyst Gene Munster and Will Thompson asked each one the same 800 questions across five different categories and graded them on understanding and accuracy. According to their findings, Google Assistant understood every single query they had asked and answered correctly 92.9% of the time. Siri understood 99.8% of the questions and answered correctly 83.1% Alexa understood 99.9% and answered 79.8% correctly. To summarize, Alexa answered approximately 162 questions incorrectly while Google got just 57 wrong. We see that Amazon has some work to do. According to this kind of research, researchers come to the idea that Siri is better at “Commands”: like sending messages, phone calls. This is the main factor that gave Siri prominence unlike others based on its own unique capabilities. Despite commands, Google assistant outplaced Siri and Alexa in every single category. This is the worst category for Alexa, which only answered 69% correctly. Another research, carried out in the commerce category, shows that Alexa answered 71% of shopping questions, compared with 92% of Google. Siri comes 68%. So we understood that Alexa has more gaps than Google assistant and Siri. But Google assistant outplaced others except commands, which is the strong point of Siri. Now you know about some features of AI search engines. Try to understand which one you prefer much more.
